Athletic Excellence at Scottish Schools Competition

St George's athletes delivered outstanding performances at the Scottish Schools Athletics Competition held on Wednesday, 5th February. The competition spotlight fell on Teme (U4) who performed incredibly well in the U15 Girls events. Teme leapt to gold in the Long Jump competition with an impressive 5.05m jump. Her success continued on the track where she took a silver medal in the U15 Girls 60m sprint, demonstrating her versatility as a young athlete.

There were strong performances across the age groups:

• Adora (L6) displayed determination in the U20 60m Sprint, narrowly missing qualification in a highly competitive field.
• Anais (L5) competed admirably in the U17 High Jump event.
• Mary (L6) secured a commendable 4th place finish in the U20 Shot Put, showing strength against older competitors.

We are proud not only the medal-winning performances but also the commitment shown by all St George's competitors throughout the event.
