Award-winning author Holly Webb visits Junior School
We were delighted to welcome a bestselling and award-winning author Holly Webb to St George’s School on Thursday 28 September.
Holly is an internationally best-selling children’s author. She has written over 130 books, spanning picture books, chapter books and middle-grade fiction, and her work has been translated into over 30 languages. Pets and animals feature in many of Holly’s stories.
Holly spoke with our Primary 3, Primary 4 and Primary 5 in the afternoon about her books and where she gets her inspiration. Our students learned about the real-life animals behind her stories and heard her read from her book “Homesick Kitten”. Following her presentation, pupils were able to ask Holly questions and have their books signed.
The whole school loves Holly’s books and our U6 student, Zumrad, had her childhood copy of ‘The Storm Leopards’ signed as well!
