Family Ceilidh Brings the St George's Community Together

St George's welcomed over 180 family and friends to our Burns Day Family Ceilidh celebration, Saturday 25 January. The Upper School Hall was filled with traditional dancing as Callanish ceilidh band guided dancers through favourite reels and strathspeys, whilst Erskine Stewart Melville's School pupil Euan provided excellent pipe music.

Despite Friday's stormy weather, Saturday afternoon saw families fill the dance floor, enjoying everything from Strip the Willow to the Gay Gordons. Light refreshments were served throughout the afternoon's dancing.

We are grateful to the PTF Social Committee for organising such a successful event, to Callanish for their music and calling, and to all the families who joined us. The strong turnout and community spirit shown make us look forward to next year's gathering already.
