From Classroom to Culture: St George's Students Trip To Andalucía
Over the recent half term break, students in years U5, L6 and U6 embarked on an exciting trip to Andalucía, immersing themselves in the vibrant culture and rich history of southern Spain. They were able to bring their classroom learning to life, exploring language and history first-hand.
Alongside Spanish lessons, they visited the incredible Alhambra Palace, enjoying breath-taking views and architecture as well as discovering its fascinating history. The students also enjoyed a tapas tasting, a lively Flamenco dancing class and exploring the Alcaicería. By night, they were enchanted by the sight of the Alhambra lit up against the evening sky.
In Granada, the students continued their immersion, taking part in more Spanish language lessons and enjoying a tour of the Albaicín, before visiting a traditional tetería to soak up the local atmosphere.
At St George's, we believe that providing our students with real-world, hands-on learning experiences is essential to their academic and personal growth. Trips like this one allow our students to develop crucial skills like cultural awareness, language proficiency, and independence - all while fostering deeper connections with their peers and teachers.
Our students create lasting memories while deepening their appreciation for the diversity of our global community. #aVoiceforOpportunity
