Honouring Young Athletes: Annual Sports Celebration Evening 2024

On 25th June, we held our annual Sports Celebration Evening  honouring the remarkable achievements of our student-athletes. The event featured a warm welcome from Mrs Fourie, followed by a sports round-up from Sports Prefect Hannah (U6). 

Proud parent Rosie Cully offered a touching perspective on the impact of sports at St George's. The evening's highlight was an inspiring address by guest speaker Megan Gaffney, former Scotland rugby international and Barbarians player. 

Awards were presented across various categories, recognising individual excellence, team achievements, and service to sport. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks from Head Mrs Carol Chandler-Thompson, followed by drinks and canapés. It was a wonderful night that showcased the dedication, talent, and sportsmanship of our students across a wide range of sports.
