Lower 5 Students Named Scottish Young Makars

Huge congratulations to Fatima and Sophia (L5)! 

These talented students have been chosen as Scottish Young Poetry Makars after submitting three exceptional poems that impressed an expert judging panel. The prestigious recognition comes with a unique opportunity: each student will be mentored by a published poet to develop their craft and performance skills. 

As part of their achievement, Fatima and Sophia will showcase their poetry at the Scottish International Poetry Festival in St Andrews in March 2025, marking an exciting milestone in their literary journey.
