P6 Explores Real-World Safety at the Risk Factory
29 Jan 2025
On Thursday, Primary 6 went to the Risk Factory. The Risk Factory is a place where volunteers teach children about risks in everyday life. Some of the risks that we looked at were electrical boxes, floods, water, farms, building sites, train tracks, dark alleys and fires.
The best experience was the ‘fake’ fire alarm. We had to evacuate and get people out with us. We learnt that when a building is on fire do not go back in, instead, get out as quickly as you can, close the door and call 999. We think that everyone in P6 really enjoyed it and we hope we can go again.
