Reindeer and Recorders at the Junior School Winter Concert
On 4 December 2024, the Junior School Winter Concert set the stage for our upcoming festive musical celebrations. The event showcased the talent of young musicians across various ensembles, including Primary 1 and 2 Singers, Magic Maestros, String Orchestra, Recorder Ensemble, Rock Band, Guitar Ensemble, Musical Theatre, and Junior School Choir.
A highlight of the afternoon was the playful performance of "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" by the Recorder Ensemble, which featured a charming moment when performers donned reindeer ears - though not without a brief, humorous pause to locate a missing accessory for our accompanist, Tom Rogers.
The programme included festive classics and contemporary pieces, ranging from "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" to selections from "Frozen". Conducted by supportive music staff including Beth Morrison, Hector Scott, Michael McGeary, and Stephanie Omari, the concert demonstrated the students' musical enthusiasm. Well done to our students for putting on a wonderful concert!
Our warmest thanks to parents and families for both filling the concert hall and supporting the Instrument Fund, helping us develop future musical talents!
