Removes Bring Treasure Island to Life

As part of their study of Treasure Island, Remove pupils played the role of sailors preparing to sail their brigades to a deserted island on the hunt for gold! The enthusiastic young buccaneers named their ships and created colourful flags representing their crews.
They displayed more creativity by devising their own sea shanties, which they performed for their classmates with remarkable confidence. Despite having only an hour to prepare, several groups even incorporated their own instruments into their performances!
"Their commitment to the roles and musical talent was truly impressive," commented Mrs Carol Magee, who fully embraced the theme by donning a pirate costume for the deck performances. "They did so well that no one had to walk the plank!"
This interactive approach to studying Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure novel has brought the text to life and engaged students in a memorable way, combining literature, music, art and drama in one exciting lesson.
