Whilst the plans for the next PTF social committee-led ball are underway, we have the chance to reflect on the long-term positive impact of the fundraising element of this social occasion. There is firstly the impact on the charity Soul Food, who have benefited enormously from our donation; we have also built on this to create a long-lasting partnership and regular Soul Food Meal hosted by St George's and catered by Thomas Franks. This will have a tangible positive impact on those who attend, as well as the whole St George's community. More details will follow in due course.

In addition, there is the impact of the mini school projects; funds were allocated to all parts of the school and new projects and initiatives are underway!

The first project is the funding of a Virtual Reality Headset and 3D printer that students are now using in Design and Technology. They are already bringing their design skills to life. We have three teams entered into the Formula 1 in Schools competition and students have been designing their model cars using Computer Aided Design and then printing them on the new Bambu Labs 3D printer. The F1 in Schools competition is an annual competition for teams of six students to design, make, present and race model F1 cars.

Students are also using the 3D printer for creating components in classwork projects such as novelty pencil sharpeners. Students are using the VR headset to import designs they have made in SketchUp to be able to 'see' them in real life. We hope you will be able to see this kit in action during open events and demonstrations.

Thank you once again for all your generous support and we look forward to updating you on other exciting mini-projects being funded by Uniform Exchange and the PTF social committee.
