St George's Students Engineer Success at Formula 1 in Schools Regional Finals

St George's Formula 1 teams had a fantastic day, winning 5 trophies at the F1 in Schools regional finals held at the Michelin Innovation Park in Dundee. Teams were judged on their Car Design, Pit Displays, Portfolios, Engineering and Presentation. 

The St George's students were rewarded for all their hard work with 5 awards and further nominations, including Team Hydra securing a place at the National Finals in March.

The full list of awards is as follows:

• Team Hydra - 2nd Overall in Development Class (with a place at the National Finals in March), won Sponsorship & Marketing, nominated for Team Identity 
• Team Blue Pilots - Team Identity Award sponsored by Aston University, nominated for Pit Display 
• Team Crystalyne - Fastest Car in Development Class, 3rd overall, nominated for Sponsorship & Marketing and Pit Display
