Lower School Students Support Charity, Fresh Start

Recently, some Lower School students went to visit the Fresh Start warehouse in North Edinburgh. Fresh Start is a charity who help people moving on from homelessness because they have very few items, if any at all. We had a tour of the warehouse and saw lots of things that people had donated. We also saw a lot of items that companies and supermarkets had donated.

We were split into two groups. One group made up winter warmer packs which included woolly hats, gloves and hot water bottles. The other group helped to make up festive toiletry packs. Afterwards, we spent time asking questions about the charity. The visit made us think about how lucky we are to have what we have. We also realised how many people still need our help.
