We are delighted to announce that three of our talented students have been recognised for their exceptional coding skills in the recent dressCode Halloween Coding Competition!

We have an outstanding winner from Junior School, Isabel (P4). As she explains:

"Last term, I was in Digi club. In Digi club we did quite a lot of interesting projects and games. Near the end of the winter term, Mrs Kumari entered us into a Halloween coding competition organised by Dresscode."

The challenge required students to create an original project using Scratch with just one condition—it had to include monsters! Our young coder decided to craft an engaging story rather than a game.

After an anxious three-month wait, she was delighted to discover she was the only winner from Junior School! Her prize? An AI-powered robot called Tobbie.

"The prize was a robot called Tobbie with Artificial Intelligence. To use Tobbie you have to download an app. Tobbie is an amazing prize and I felt shocked and very happy when I won. My sister and I are having great fun building Tobbie. I love coding and I love Digi Club!"

The success continued with our Primary 6 pupils! Huge congratulations to Prisha and Jessica who also won prizes in the same competition.

Prisha impressed the judges by recreating her favourite game with a Halloween twist, while Jessica's creative approach featured a spooky story about a monstrous squirrel! Both talented coders were awarded their very own Tobbie the Robot as prizes as well.

These achievements highlight the fantastic work happening in our Digi Club and demonstrate our commitment to developing crucial STEM skills. Coding not only enhances logical thinking and problem-solving abilities but also encourages creativity and innovation—qualities clearly displayed by our winners.
