Upper 4 Students Make Waves in Hockey and Skating
The future is looking bright, with two of our young athletes making their mark on the regional and national stage in their sports. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, earning them well-deserved recognition and opportunities to further hone their skills.
East District Hockey Tournament Success
Congratulations to Beth (U4) on her selection for the East District U14 hockey team. Beth recently competed in the Hockey U14 Inter-District Tournament, where her team finished an impressive second overall. Here's a snapshot of Beth's experience in her own words:
"By being selected for East District Hockey, I have made many new friends and been pushed to a new level of hockey that I really enjoy and hope to participate more in. In the tournament that we played in on Saturday, the 18th of May, I was encouraged by my teammates, and we all played to a new standard of hockey. I'm very proud of my team and how well everyone played during all of our matches, and I hope to be able to play with them again."
Joining the GB Development Squad
Meanwhile, Chloe (U4) has achieved a remarkable feat by being selected for the GB development team, comprising 20 of GB's most promising young skaters. This elite group will have the opportunity to train alongside the 2025 squad, with their sights set on competing in the JRDA world cup in Scotland in 2027.
Congratulations to Chloe on this achievement! Her inclusion in the development squad is a testament to her talent and commitment to the sport.
