Pastoral Care & Support at Lower School

The Lower School years are a time of physical change and social and emotional development during the transition to adolescence; this can be challenging for both students and parents. St George's Lower School provides a safe and caring learning environment in which your daughter can make decisions and solve problems – knowing that she has support from dedicated teachers. We want each girl to feel valued, happy, and enthusiastic about life at school.

St George’s Supportive Learning Environment

Our 'Buddy' system encourages the girls to mix within the three-year groups and broaden their friendship circle. The girls in each form have a form tutor and two Sixth Form prefects to support and encourage them throughout the year. With this support, the girls in the Lower School can feel secure and comfortable, belonging to a smaller community within the larger St George’s family.

By the time the girls reach the end of Lower 4(S1) they are ready to move on to the Upper School and the exciting start of the next phase of their education.
