St George’s School fees for the 2024–2025 academic year

The UK Government has announced that VAT will be levied on independent school fees from January 2025. In order to reduce the total amount that families will be paying, we have reduced our fees for Spring and Summer terms so that the net increase, with VAT included, will be 15.2%.

provides full details of the school fees. Whether
you're considering day schooling or boarding options, the detailed
tables give the different costs for each stage of education, as well as
the differences between day schooling, nursery fees, flexi-boarding and
full-time residential boarding.
A Registration Fee (non-refundable) must accompany the Application Form of £120 (£40 Nursery). Fees and additional costs are reviewed annually in June and will be subject to an increase each academic session.

- Casual daily boarding rates: Monday - Thursday £102 per night, Friday to Sunday £108 per night
- Lunches P1 upwards £5.00 per day (included in boarding fee)
Extras
Tuition fees are inclusive of textbooks, stationery, Junior School day trips and personal accident premiums. Examination fees charged by SQA, GCSE, AS and A Level exam boards are charged as an extra cost separately.
Deposit
A deposit of £300 should be paid as a final entry fee when the offer of a place is confirmed. Deposits will be offset against the pupil's account for the final term.
Parents who are not domiciled in Scotland are required to pay a refundable deposit of one term’s boarding fees when a boarding place is accepted.
Tier 4 visas
Due to the complexity surrounding applications for Tier 4 Child Student visas, we require all applications to be made with Newland Chase Education, a firm of immigration specialists. An additional cost will be incurred for this service. Please contact admissions for details.
