Meet our Staff
Our People: The secret of our success
At St George’s, we‘re extremely fortunate to have a team of expert, dedicated and generous staff that help make our girls’ school in Edinburgh stand out from the competition.
The quality of relationships here and our genuine desire to offer the best education for girls in Scotland is second to none, thanks to our loyal and passionate staff.
A strong emphasis on Continuing Professional Development
is rooted in our founding history as St George’s Training College. For teaching staff, we support engaging with leading Educational Research, further developing digital skills or participating in our Practitioner Research seminars with peers from across Edinburgh. We also promote a wide range of external Professional Development opportunities and links with schools within the Girls’ School Association and Scottish Council of Independent Schools (SCIS) to broaden our professional expertise.
You can also read profiles on some of our remarkable alumnae who have distinguished themselves in major fields ranging from education and law to medicine and the arts.

Staff media articles
The school is proud to offer a comprehensive media library featuring a collection of articles written by our staff and published in various media outlets. This includes a diverse range of opinion articles that provide insight into the views and perspectives of our school leaders, teachers, and other staff members on important educational issues. By making these opinion pieces available, we hope to share the values, ideas, and vision of our school community.
