Harriet Davidson, Cello Teacher, St George's Music Department
Harriet Davidson studied Modern History at Oxford University before postgraduate studies on the cello at the Guildhall School of Music. After 8 years freelancing in London, Harriet returned to Scotland and joined the music department at St George's in 2006. She also teaches cello at ESMS schools and taught for ten years at the specialist City of Edinburgh Music School. Harriet has toured with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and works regularly with their education department delivering outreach programmes in schools, hospitals and community settings. Harriet also enjoys performing chamber music with 'Trio Ecossaise' and has collaborated on stage for cabaret and theatre projects including Fringe shows with Meow Meow and Le Gateau Chocolat. Harriet continues to do regular session work and has played at the Glastonbury Festival and the Mercury Music Awards.
