I have been a member of the teaching staff at St George's School since completing my PGDE in 2017, working in both the upper and lower stages of the Junior School.

Before beginning my career as a teacher, I graduated with a Bachelor of Design (Hons) degree, specialising in Jewellery and Metal Design. I later shared these skills as a jewellery and silversmithing teacher in the United States. It was in this setting that my enthusiasm for teaching took flight; I discovered the immense fulfilment that comes from igniting curiosity and fostering creativity in young minds.

I have had the privilege of working with Edinburgh Science on a number of large science festivals in both the UK and UAE. During my time with Edinburgh Science, I also taught STEM workshops, reaching over 100 schools across Scotland. These experiences have allowed me to bring a passion for science and technology into my classroom

At St George's, I have been proud to lead the Junior School in achieving two Green Flag Awards through the Eco-Schools initiative. I currently lead the Junior School Charities Committee, where I organise various events and fundraising activities throughout the school year. I believe that teaching students the value of compassion and community involvement is integral to their development as well-rounded individuals. By participating in charity work, students not only contribute to worthy causes but also gain a deeper understanding of their role in society.

I believe that all children should grow up with a love of learning and an unwavering belief in their capabilities. I aspire to create an engaging learning environment where curiosity is nurtured, and challenges are viewed as opportunities for growth. By fostering a supportive culture, I aim to empower each child to realise their potential and pursue their aspirations with confidence.
