Driven by a lifelong passion for learning and a belief in the transformative power of education, I’ve dedicated my career to inspiring young minds. My own education journey began after school with a First-Class Honours Degree in History, which ignited a desire to share knowledge and foster intellectual curiosity.
In my early years as a teacher in Fife, I actively contributed to the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence, ensuring consistency and high standards across year groups. My commitment to holistic development led me to pursue a PGDE in Physical Education. As a former athlete, I’m passionate about the physical, mental, and social benefits of sport and physical activity, particularly for girls.
After a brief career break to focus on family, I returned to teaching in Qatar, where I had the privilege of working at a prestigious British Embassy-sponsored international school. This experience broadened my horizons and exposed me to diverse cultures and educational approaches.
Since returning to Scotland in 2022, I’ve been fortunate to join the St George’s community. In both the Junior and Lower Schools, I’ve been dedicated to maintaining the school’s high standards while introducing innovative teaching strategies. I believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality education. By creating inclusive and supportive classrooms, we can empower students to reach their full potential.
